Who we are

United dealers. Stronger together. Better future.

KUCDA brings together used-car dealers and pre-owned automobile businesses from across Karnataka. Its jurisdiction is the whole of the state.

At a General Body Meeting held in Bangalore on 5 September 2026, members unanimously resolved to register the association with the Registrar of Societies. The certificate of registration was issued on 5 October 2026 under registration number DRB3/SOR/392/2026-2027.

The association works to protect the interests of dealers, help members stay compliant with RTO, tax and insurance rules, settle disputes amicably, and build trust between dealers and car buyers. All income is used only for the association's objectives and is never distributed among members. Its benefits are open to all, irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

How the association is run

Executive committee
The association is managed by an executive committee of 21 members, elected at the General Body Meeting once every three years by secret ballot. The committee meets every month, with seven days' notice from the General Secretary. Vacancies can be filled by the remaining committee members.
General Body Meeting
The annual General Body Meeting is held every June, with 21 days' clear notice. Members review the previous year's work and the audited accounts. Special General Body Meetings are called under Section 11(3) of the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960.
Roles of the office bearers
The State President is in overall charge and has a casting vote. Vice Presidents assist and stand in for the President. The State General Secretary convenes meetings, keeps the minutes and records, corresponds with the Registrar of Societies and files the annual returns. The State Treasurer holds the funds and prepares the annual balance sheet. Organising Secretaries run seminars, conferences and programmes, and Media Secretaries handle press and official statements.
Accounts and audit
Accounts close on 31 March each year and are audited by a Chartered Accountant appointed at the annual meeting. The bank account is operated jointly by the State General Secretary and the State Treasurer. The balance sheet and committee list are filed with the Registrar of Societies under Section 13 of the Act.
